Meet Your Doula
My name is Emma Hindle.
I am certified as a postpartum doula through DONA International, my experience includes more than 10 years working with children aged infant to 9 years of age, and their families. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, I am trained in ABA Therapy, I have over 10 years of experience in the fitness world, and a lifetime of experience in holistic, non-toxic living. My work experience ranges from being a professional child caregiver in an infant room at a daycare, working one-on-one with children who have autism, teaching 3rd grade in a traditional school, to being the Lead Toddler Guide at TCAPS Montessori.
My journey to fill my life with meaning and purpose has led me here. As a postpartum doula, my mission is being dedicated to supporting mothers, infants, and new families during the critical period known as the 4th trimester. Whether you’re a first-time mom or a birthing pro, birthing a baby is a rite of passage and the transition from pregnancy to welcoming a new human into your life can be deeply altering and deserves to be honored and supported.
What is the role of a postpartum doula?
A postnatal doula wears many hats. Her role is to act as a supportive guide to “cushion” families during the 4th trimester. She shifts to fit the needs of each individual family. Sometimes she may hold baby so mom can spend time caring for herself, or she may perform all the tasks that may be challenging for a postpartum mom to get to like laundry, dishes, errands, etc. A postnatal doula is a trained professional who is well-informed on infant care and the emotional, physical, and mental needs of postpartum moms.
