While you’re the only one who can truly know if hiring one is right for you, I recommend a postpartum doula to those who feel they want or need support post-birth. For example, new moms/parents, moms whose support system may be elsewhere (downstate, out of state), those whose partners don’t have adequate time off, those who have other small children, and moms who want to have the most easeful birth and postpartum experience that they can have.
Hiring a postpartum doula is an investment in your well-being. Something to consider is asking a helpful relative or friend to hire one for you as a baby shower or push present.
All moms and parents deserve all the support that is available.
-
I take payment in the form of cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo.
In certain circumstances, bartering or partial bartering is an option.
-
Anyone can! Either an expecting family or you might realize you want support after you’ve already had your baby.
Hiring a postpartum doula is a great baby shower gift or “push present”! -
A percentage of each package purchased goes towards the “Giving Fund”. This fund is designed for moms and families in need so they can receive a discounted or free-of-charge package.
I believe everyone deserves postpartum care.
